Destination Maternity holds the distinction of being the top manufacturer of maternity clothes in the world, and its exclusive line for Sears and Kmart--Two Hearts by Destination Maternity--offers quality clothing at an affordable price. Back in 1982, the company that would eventually become Destination Maternity was founded by 28-year-old new mom Rebecca Matthias. Naming her venture Mothers Work, Matthias sought to create a maternity line that pregnant women who were also business professionals could feel comfortable wearing in the office. Mothers Work grew exponentially over its first decade, and in 1995, it acquired two popular maternity brands: A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity. Today, the company (which was renamed Destination Maternity in 2008) operates almost 2,000 retail locations worldwide.

In 2004, the brand formed its first partnership with Sears, offering an exclusive line of clothes called Two Hearts. The initial collection lasted until 2008, and then was re-launched in 2009 for sale at more than 500 Sears locations and more than 100 Kmart stores. After the Kmart Holdings Corporation bought out Sears, Roebuck, and Company in 2005, it renamed itself to Sears Holdings, and it continues to operate both popular chains. The new Two Hearts by Destination Maternity collection officially replaced the existing maternity lines at both stores. The companies strive to keep their clothes reasonably priced (most items are less than $30), and the collection includes all the items moms-to-be and new moms might need.
