Justice is part of Tween Brands, Inc., which also carries the brand Brothers, specializing
in clothing and accessories for tweens, 7 to 12.
Tween Brands was formerly known as Limited Too, Inc., which was launched in 1987 by
The Limited, Inc. in an effort to extend its market presence into the children
apparel market. With a focus on just the tween market, leaving behind young
kids clothing and older teen apparel, Limited Too launched Justice: Just for
Girls in 2004.
The company transitioned into Tween Brands by 2006 and discontinued the Limited Too
line in 2008, concentrating its efforts in growing the Justice brand. By the
summer of 2012, Justice had 920 stores around the United States and was heading
the sales in tween apparel ahead of Target and Wal-Mart.
Today,Justice has more than 950 stores in the United States, Canada and considers
itself the leading tween apparel retailer in the world.
The Justice brand covers girls from size 6 to size 20, including half sizes. The clothing is tailored and designed for that stage in between childhood and teenage years, with some sweet pieces and some stylish and trendy options too.
Justice offers a wide array of apparel, from shorts, pants, shirts, graphic t-shirts and dresses, to swim wear, shoes, pajamas, underwear and shoes. Justice graphic t-shirts have fun messages targeted at empowering girls with fun and familyoriented messages such as “Love Hoo You Are.” “Mom this Homerun is for You,” or “Make your Dreams Come True.”
The brand also has a large selection of beauty items, room décor and even toys for the tween crowd.
The beauty items include fun nail polish, toiletries, makeup, lipstick and temporary hair color hues. The Justice room décor line has a variety of saucer and butterfly chairs in fun prints – zebra and rainbow – and pillows with a variety of themes, from cupcakes and donut illustrations to a 1Direction oversize pillow for the band’s fans.
Justice offers a great selection of clothes for girls that no longer want to dress like little kids, but that are not old enough for teenager trends.
When we talk about selection, we are talking about a really comprehensive assortment of items and styles. For the warmer months, for example, Justice carries an incredible variety of shorts, from the new hot trend of high-waisted shorts to classic denim or comfy knit shorts with the look of jeans shorts, but more comfortable. For the more daring crowd, the short shop at Justice also has a great selection of embellished shorts with embroidery, some bling and lots of fun patterns. The shorts come in different lengths to fit everyone’s comfort level.
Justice clothes are fun and designed to appeal to the tween market. The graphic t-shirts have cute, fun messages with girl power and family focus behind many of the prints. The line also carries a wide selection of cute, fun dresses and it even has a section for school uniforms with polos and skirts in a variety of colors.
For its fun variety of apparel and accessories, we have to give Justice 4 stars out of 5!
