These plows quickly became the hallmark of the John Deere brand and were the forerunner of the gasoline-powered tractors that would come to define the manufacturer throughout the 1900s. The company ventured into a new era of farming in 1907, and it would go on to acquire several other tractor manufacturers over the next few decades. John Deere also branched out into other appliances like the combine, cotton picker, and corn harvester, as well as industrial machinery for use in construction.

International expansion propelled John Deere into the 21st century, and the brand currently has a presence across the globe.
