The Healthtex brand dates back to 1921, when the Standard Romper Company was founded by Louis Russek. In 1937, the term "Healthtex" was first introduced to help emphasize that the company used only healthy, durable textiles to make its clothes. After changing hands a number of times through the years, Healthtex is currently owned by the LT Apparel Group, and its products are exclusively sold at Walmart. The brand has innovated comfortable, durable kids' apparel for almost a century, and it continues its long-term mission under its latest leadership.

LT Apparel was founded more than 50 years ago, and it owns and licenses a number of popular kids' clothing and accessory brands, including French Toast and @Class. Walmart was founded by Sam Walton in 1962, when it opened its first store in Rogers, Arkansas. Recently, Healthtex has basically abandoned every niche except for toddlers. Since this age can be difficult to shop for otherwise, it's nice for parents to have a trustworthy and reliable option.
