In June of 2013 Disney Consumer Products partnered with Lucasfilm brands to represent its line of Star Wars products, this addition meant that Disney now has six of the top ten franchises in the world: Disney Princess, Star Wars, Winnie the Pooh, Cars, Mickey & Friends and Toy Story and two additional brands in the top 20; Disney Fairies and Spider-Man.

Disney has all time favorite and staples for children, such as its princess and super heroes t-shirts and sleepwear. But the brand has evolved beyond the basic designs to include trendier looks and designs. The D-Signed line is Disney’s line of movie inspired clothing for preteens and teens. Disney is also concerned about how and where its apparel is made. In 2013, following the collapse of a factory in Bangladesh – with dire consequences- Disney banned the use of items produced in what the company considered high-risk countries: Bangladesh, Venezuela, Belarus, Pakistan and Ecuador. The new policy requires all its factories around the world to work with the Better Work Health and Safety program run by the International Labor Organization and the International Finance Corporation.
