Since the 1920s Disney’s movies and cartoons have shaped the world of entertainment for kids around the world. No other company represents the wholesome values of childhood more than Disney.Anyone born in the last 100 years has experienced the magic of Disney one way or another.
The Disney apparel line is tightly woven into its movies, cartoons and television shows from the legendary and traditional, like Mikey Mouse, Donald Duck or Winnie the Pooh, to the company's newest franchises and television shows, such as High School Musical, Hanna Montana or the Marvel brand with its lineup of super heroes, which joined the Disney company in 2009.
Disney apparel can be purchased at Disney stores around the world. The first Disney store opened its doors in 1987, today there are more than 350 locations around the world, with more than 40 in North America, over 100 in Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom and more than 40 in Japan.
In June of 2013 Disney Consumer Products partnered with Lucasfilm brands to represent its line of Star Wars products, this addition meant that Disney now has six of the top ten franchises in the world: Disney Princess, Star Wars, Winnie the Pooh, Cars, Mickey & Friends and Toy Story and two additional brands in the top 20; Disney Fairies and Spider-Man.
Disney apparel can also be purchased online.
Disney apparel is a varied as its many characters and covers a wide variety of interests and age groups.
For the youngest ones, Winnie the Pooh has a great selection of onesies, sleepwear and accessories, such as blankets, towels and nursery décor.
The Disney store has categories to make shopping easier:
The costume shop has a wide selection of costumes in sizes 0 to 8 for boys and girls. Kids can choose from almost all the iconic Disney characters represented in Disney movies: Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain Sparrow, Cinderella, Tinker Bell, etc.
The Sleep Store covers any need for a comfortable slumber, from Nightshirts to one piece, two- piece, onesies for the youngest ones and slippers for everyone. Nightclothes also come in a variety of characters and themes.

For kids and adults alike, Disney offers a wide array of t-shirts, hoodies, fleece jackets and other apparel with theme park logos or character inspired.
Disney has all time favorite and staples for children, such as its princess and super heroes t-shirts and sleepwear. But the brand has evolved beyond the basic designs to include trendier looks and designs. The D-Signed line is Disney’s line of movie inspired clothing for preteens and teens. D-Signed has a variety of items like faux leather jackets, embellished vests, pants, tops, dresses, skirts and overalls. All the items in this line are stylish and trendy, keeping the look still appropriate for the ages for which the items are designed. A big plus in parent’s eyes!
Disney is also concerned about how and where its apparel is made. In 2013, following the collapse of a factory in Bangladesh – with dire consequences- Disney banned the use of items produced in what the company considered high-risk countries: Bangladesh, Venezuela, Belarus, Pakistan and Ecuador. The new policy requires all its factories around the world to work with the Better Work Health and Safety program run by the International Labor Organization and the International Finance Corporation.
For its cultural heritage, unforgettable characters, great clothing and responsible manufacturing, we give Disney five out of five stars
